Avenrà Halo privacy notice
Updated 14 September 2026
Avenrà Halo is operated by Ampera EV Ltd, trading as Avenrà. This notice covers the Halo Android app and its connected Halo service. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@rideavenra.com.
Information used by Halo
- Your account and motorcycle: identity, contact and profile details, sign-in and security records, linked motorcycle, order, service and ownership information.
- Bluetooth and battery data: the devices you choose to connect, battery charge and electrical or controller readings made available by compatible hardware. Halo keeps a dated last-read value after disconnection; it is not a continuing measurement.
- Location and rides: phone location, route and ride measurements when you use location features. With permission, Halo can retain the phone's location when the BMS disconnects as an approximate parking point. Selected ride services may continue while the app is in the background, with an Android notification. Backgrounding alone does not mark the bike as parked.
- Optional content: documents and photos you upload, community contributions and messages, support requests and diagnostic reports you choose to send.
- Optional safety information: emergency contacts, medical details and incident information when you enable the relevant features and give the requested consent. Incident-camera footage may be uploaded after Emergency Assist activates under the consent shown in Halo. Camera recording stops when Halo is hidden; audio is off.
- Device and service information: permissions, app preferences, technical requests, IP address and security or operational logs needed to deliver and protect the service.
Why it is used
We use this information to provide accounts and ownership services, connect your motorcycle, display battery and ride information, support optional sharing and safety features, respond to support and privacy requests, prevent misuse and meet applicable obligations. Optional features have their own controls; declining a permission can make the related feature unavailable.
Storage and sharing
Private account records and synchronised insights are sent to Avenrà's service over HTTPS. Cached battery readings, parking details and app preferences are also stored on the device. Ride Memories are kept locally unless you export or share them. Background ride writer credentials are short-lived and held in memory by the Android service.
Authorised Avenrà staff and service providers supporting hosting, delivery, maps, communication and operations may process the information needed for their role. Maps and directions can send coordinates, map requests and device network information to the configured mapping provider; the packaged map fallback uses OpenStreetMap tiles. External shop, payment, map and sharing services apply their own privacy notices.
Live-location links, Guardian access, community content and exported files are shared according to the choices you make. Anyone holding a sharing link may be able to use it until it expires or is revoked. Private medical information and diagnostic reports are not made public in the community.
How long information is kept
Account and ownership information remains while needed for the service and applicable obligations. The packaged battery-insight history and diagnostic-report retention is 180 days; the latest retained battery and parking records remain useful until replaced or deleted. Uploaded incident footage normally has a 30-day retention setting, which Avenrà can configure. Other ride, community, security, purchase and backup records follow their service and legal retention requirements. Contact us for the periods that apply to your records or to request deletion.
Your controls and requests
You can disconnect Bluetooth, stop a ride, end sharing links, turn optional safety and camera features off, manage Android permissions and request account deletion. Android provides a visible service notification with a Stop control for background activity. System restrictions, force-stop or clearing the app may end a connection or recording.
Contact us to request access, correction, a copy or deletion of your personal information, or to discuss an objection or consent withdrawal. We may need to verify your identity. Requests do not require you to disclose your Halo PIN. You can also raise privacy concerns with the relevant data protection authority.
